Austin District
Austin District History
The now Austin District was intitally named,
Luling District in the 80's when the late Bishop T.D. Iglehart appointed Elder Paul Thompson, Sr. District Superintendent.
During the 80's several additional churches from the Austin area joined the district, thus causing Bishop T.D. Iglehart
to change the name from Lullling District to Austin District. Presently, Austin District has the largest number of churches
in Texas Southwest Jurisdiction totaling at 13 pastors and congregations. 2007 will mark Supt Paul Thompson,
Sr. 25th year anniversary as District Superintendent in Texas Southwest Jurisdiction
