Pastor Mims As An Individual

pwhite.jpg

Pastor Mims is a distinctive man of character!  He cherishes his wife and carries with him a great testimony of God's mercy and saving grace.  He is thankful to God that when wrong is present there is a conviction inside him to do right.  He often speaks of the compassion no one else can give but God!  His experience while in the world,  reminisces on the "old time way" and the pioneers before him. Pastor Mims has a heart of a child, a determination made of steel; He is a generous man, his hands are extended to meet the needs of the people.  He has an open door policy to extend the doors of Mims Chapel Church to those who ask of him because he knows from whence his blessing flows. He is a Pastor after God's own heart. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord" I Corinthians 15:58

Pastor and Wife As A Couple

Pastor Carlton Mims and Mother Johnnie Pearl have been united in Holy Matrimony for 55 years!  "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24.

They are the proud parents of ten living children (six males and four females) who were raised and natured in the fear of God.  As with any marriages, things were not always glorious; but their strong love for each other and the vows they made kept them.  Together they have struggled with sickness, were met with many of life's challenges, and faced family crisis; but the outcome speaks for itself.  Through the omnipotence of God Pastor Mims and First-Lady continue to stand united in being  fitly joined together in love and steadfast faith.  " What God has joined together, let no man put asunder" Matthew 19:6

Mother Pearl As An Individual

Pearl2.jpg
Two words sums up Mother Pearl's traits; Diamonds and Pearls!  In Mother's personal life, she has endured many sickness (past and present), toils and snares but God has never failed her yet.  She is a faithful wife, mother, and saint of the most high God.  She is filled with all the fruit of the spirit with some "nuggets" on the side.  She has done her share of labor; carries a meek and humble spirit insomuch that her silcence speaks louder than her words.  when she speaks, she is always thankful for all things. We can learn from her and strive to pattern after such a godly woman; She is indeed, "A Pastor's wife"  "Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."  Proverbs 31:31

Mims Chapel's Goals

•  To understand our purpose
•  To become conserceted to God
•  To rebuild our Youth Dept
•  Be willing to make sacrifices
•  Be dutiful in the areas appointed

"Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.  For thou shalt eat the labor of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.  Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.  Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord." Psalm 128:1-4
